Hello and thank you for your interest in vocal lessons. Located in Lake Elsinore California, I prefer to teach at my own home studio but can teach at your home if there are special circumstances. If you would like to learn more about my qualifications, please visit my biography page. I pride myself on giving each student a tailor-made lesson; as well as teaching them about all aspects of being a vocalist and performer. Group lessons and performance workshops are also available for 3 or more students. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Cost & Fees
Private lessons are $60.00 per month ($15.00 weekly for a 30 minute one-on-one lesson). Fees are due on a monthly basis at the beginning of each month. Discounts are available for additional family members. There is also a discount available for group lessons of 3 or more. Cancellations require 24 hours notice. Every effort will be made to reschedule the lesson. There are no refunds for missed lessons.
Lessons
I am unique in that I am able to teach based on both my education and my performance experience. I work with any age from preschool children to adults. A good way to decide if your young child is ready for music lessons is to take into consideration that they will need to pay attention for a full 30 minutes. If the child has a reasonable attention span, can recite their ABC's, and enjoys singing along with the television or radio; chances are they are ready for music instruction.
My lesson plans are customized to suit each student and include techniques such as: proper breath control, sight reading, basic theory, vocal improvement, vocal stamina, song interpretation, stage presence, etc. Students and their parents are able to choose what they would like to work on as well as the style(s) of music they want to learn. Accompaniment tracks are put onto a CD for students to take home and practice with. At the end of each lesson, students are recorded in a fully equipped studio singing a song that we have been working on. This enables them to listen and learn what to improve on; as well as have a permanent record of their personal growth from lesson to lesson.
Recitals
Recitals are held 2-3 times per year Students are not required to participate but usually enjoy showing off what they've accomplished! Done in a professional venue with full sound and lighting, students are asked to perform several individual selections as well as various group numbers if applicable. Recitals are often themed. Costumes and simple choreography are usually part of the performance experience! Unlimited tickets are available for family and friends at no charge. ****Students showing exceptional talent are also eligible to perform with a live band as well as recommended for other local musical events.****
