Tanya Witt began entertaining at the age of three. At the age of fourteen she founded, choreographed, and managed "Tanya And Company"; a four-person entertainment troupe that performed for the military, elderly, and terminally ill for nine years. She decided at an early age to make a career of her passion for performance and song. She began doing radio and television jingle work while still in high school; and continued while in Nashville, TN studying music business at Belmont University. During her time in Music City Tanya had the opportunity to work with many talented songwriters including Kelly Zullo, Kris Bergsnes, and Scotty Emerick.
Upon her return to the Midwest, Tanya auditioned for and won a spot in a small choir that backed up Ray Charles in one of his final concerts, "The Gospel According To Ray Charles". The show was released on pay-per-view and DVD and airs frequently during the holiday months. She has also shared a stage with musical greats such as Kenny Rogers, Boy Howdy, and Poison.
Tanya has spent the past several years touring with the Branson Superstars during their Midwest runs. She plays the character of Patsy Cline; as well as serving as a backup singer for their Elvis show. She has appeared in front of as many as 20,000 people and her voice has aired nationally on television stations ESPN, TNN, and CMT as well as on NBC, ABC, and Fox affiliates. Tanya has sung at venues such as: the Lambeau Field Atrium, the Staples Center, Target Center, the Bradley Center, Toyota Park, Miller Park, and the Resch Center.
She has sung the National Anthem for an impressive list of sporting events including: Chicago Machine, WNBA Minnesota Lynx, Horizon League Playoffs, Luxemburg Speedway, Wisconsin Toughman Challenge, UW-Phoenix, Milwaukee Rumble, Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Gamblers, Milwaukee Admirals, the Green Bay Packers Association, and the Green Bay Blizzard. Tanya continues to work as a demo singer, voice over artist, and jingle singer; providing vocals for commercials such as "Holiday Motors", "Wink Away Cleaner", "Good Guys", "Sugar And Spice Bakery", "LA Fitness", and many others.
Tanya supports the troops and often volunteers to perform for military functions. She also lends her voice to live radio broadcasts, charity events, and special causes. She enjoys theater and when time permits she entertains with several community groups. Tanya sometimes works as a plus size model and has been featured in several magazine and special event shoots. She is currently performing in Southern California and the Midwest; as well as fronting and managing her bands, Straight Up (Midwest) and Witt's End (California).
