Tanya Witt began entertaining at the age of three. Following in the footsteps of
her grandparents and father, she loved an audience! As a teen Tanya founded and
managed "Tanya And Company"; a four-person entertainment troupe. She
decided at an early age to make a career of her passion for performance and song.
Tanya was accepted into the esteemed Music Business program at Belmont
University in Nashville, TN. While attending college she performed at
legendary venues such as Nashville Palace, Tootsies Lounge, Lonnies, and
Barbara's. She had the opportunity to record with many talented Nashville
songwriters and shared a stage with Kenny Rogers, Poison, and Boy Howdy.
Tanya auditioned for and won a spot in a small choir that backed up Ray Charles
in one of his final concerts, "The Gospel According To Ray Charles". The show
was released on pay-per-view, CD, and DVD and airs frequently during the
holiday months. She recently (2008) performed with the Branson Superstars;
both as a soloist and backup singer.
Tanya currently works as a demo and jingle singer/voice over artist in the
Midwest market. She is represented by nine different talent agencies including
Baker and Rowley Talent of Chicago, Lori Lins Ltd. of Milwaukee, and Twin
Cities Talent of Minneapolis. Tanya contracts independently as well and is able
to record via home studio.
She has performed in front of as many as 20,000 people and has appeared
nationally on television stations ESPN, TNN, and CMT as well as locally on
NBC, ABC, and Fox affiliates. Tanya has sung at venues such as: the Lambeau
Field Atrium, the Target Center, the Meyer Theater, the Bradley Center,
Toyota Park, Miller Park, the Kress Center, and the Resch Center. She has
performed the National Anthem for the Chicago Machine, Minnesota Lynx,
Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, Horizon League Playoffs, Luxemburg Speedway,
WNCY Radio, WNFL Radio, Wisconsin Toughman, UWGB Phoenix, Green
Bay Bullfrogs, Milwaukee Rumble, Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Gamblers,
Milwaukee Admirals, and the Green Bay Blizzard.
Freelancing for several recording and broadcasting companies in her area is also
part of Tanya's routine. She often lends her vocals to radio broadcasts, charity
causes, and special events. She enjoys live theater as well, and when time
permits she entertains with several community groups. She also fronts three
bands; all very stylistically different: Acoustic "Past Due", Variety "Straight
Up", and Cabaret "Twisted Angels".
